The Little Pilgrim's Progress

My mom and dad gave me a book called LITTLE PILGRIM'S PROGRESS . I like it because Christen still believed that Callestal City really did exist when all the boys in town laughed, doubted, and mocked him saying, you can't believe that those tales are true. He stood up for what he believed in.

I learned that you need to stand up for what is right. If you obey your guide, you will be safe. My guide are God and my mom and dad. I also learned not to be lazy, because it is sinful. The lazy in the book got punished. You will have to read the book to find out what happens to him.

There was a lot of symbolism in the book, kind of like "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe", another one of my favorite books. the King was supposed to be like God, the bright ones were like angels, the Callestal City was like Heaven, the wicked prince is like satan, the servants are like demons, the prince's castle is like Hell and the town that was blocking the way to King was like sin. Christen is maybe ten years old, which is very young to be traveling alone. His friend Faithful was killed and the white ones that were flying up in the air took Faithful to Callestal City. Christen had to pass through a lot of temptations like when he went to the Valley of Peace and the Dark Valley.

The Little Pilgrim's Progress is one of the best books I have ever read because it has a lot of lessons for you to learn, a lot of adventure, and it keeps interested!

HI Kelsey!

I really like your blog and learning about what you have been reading and doing. The Chronicles of Narnia were one of my very favorite books too. I especially liked the very last book where all the good animals and people of Narnia got to meet the Lion Aslan face to face, and then those that were true and free of fear went on to another, more perfect Narnia where everyone felt light and free and full of love for one another. Keep working on your blog and I'm looking forward to reading more about what you are doing. Hope to see you soon. Love, Grandpa Jim
